DiTech Science have partnered with a Clinical Diagnostics supplier who wish to appoint a Key Account Manager for their North East territory. The territory comprises some well-established customers covering Hull, West and North Yorkshire up to Newcastle, Durham and Cumbria.
Are you an experienced commercial Biomedical Scientist looking to build on your initial NHS sales success and step into a Key Account Manager role?
Perhaps you took a detour into more general laboratory sales and now want to more closely influence patient pathways promoting cutting edge IVD and POC solutions.
This family friendly SME offer the broadest range of diagnostics across all pathology disciplines including Haematology and Clinical Chemistry controls, Molecular Diagnostics, Faecal Immunochemical Testing, Point of Care and Infectious disease testing.
- Essentially, you will create, maintain and execute strategic and tactical key account plans to tailor product and service solutions that meet your customer needs.
- You’ll continually identify and develop new key accounts and contacts whilst maintaining existing and growing new business.
- Ultimately, you’ll achieve forecast sales and margin targets by selling products from across the portfolio, maintaining a balanced product mix.
- You’ll be responsible for territory planning, appointment setting and travelling 3 to 4 days per week. Attending sales conferences and meetings, as well as exhibiting at prestigious trade exhibitions such as the IBMS will also form part of your role.

The ideal candidate offers:
- Educated to at least Degree level in a Biomedical Science or allied subject.
- Two to four years sales experience within the scientific sector, particularly to diagnostic, clinical research or the academic markets.
- Good understanding of key account management concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the innate ability to influence many different types of stakeholders.
- Is entrepreneurial and driven with the ability to think, plan and act strategically.
- Knowledge of managed service providers and third party procurement providers.
Salary DOE to £50K plus OTE to £16K bonus, company car and benefits package.
